How we clean your stone and tile floors
Integrity Stone uses several special commercial floor cleaning machines made specifically for cleaning natural stone and grouted floors. Our high pressure water extraction equipment which deep cleans and remove dirt without damaging the stone or tile. The key is the high vaccum lift which pulls out the dirt out of the pores of the tile and grout.
Integrity Stone also uses only cleaning chemicals specifically designed for stone. Normal cleaning agents contain chelating agents which attack mineral deposits, which is exactly what stone is made of. With our cleaning methods, not only is your floor left clean, it is also left at a neutral pH 7, which will not attract dirt. High alkaline or acid cleaners left on a floor will attract dirt like a magnet.
Granite Countertop Cleaning

STONE RESTORATION
We are one of the few restoration companies that specalize in the use of diamond abrasives in the restoration of your stone surfaces. The use of diamonds in the grinding and honing phase of restoration will give you better clarity and more reflectivity after polishing. We also provide cleaning, sealing, crack/chip repair and stain removal for marble, granite, travertine, terrazzo and all other natural stone surfaces.
Grinding – To remove deep scratches and remove lippage (uneven tile edges). Done by machine with diamond abrasive pads and water that creates no dust.
Honing - To remove minor scratches and wear from everyday foot traffic. This process is also done by machine with diamond abrasive pads and water that creates no dust.
Polishing – To give marble or stone the sheen you want, enhance the veining in marble and to protect the marble or stone from everyday traffic and spills. (Utilizing the same compounds that are used in the fabricating process.)
Cleaning – To remove dirt, stains and bacteria and to remove waxes and polymers that have become embedded.
Crack/Chip Repair -
Sealing – To protect and preserve natural stone. (Using penetrating sealers / impregnators.) Sealing stone can be a very important part of preserving the beauty of your floor. An improperly sealed floor can be a waste of the money invested.
Think of sealing as Scotchguard® for your stone floors. It doesn't keep the floor from getting dirty, but it does help prevent against stains and makes the floor much easier to clean. Note: sealing will not protect against acid etchings or scratches.
Integrity Stone uses high quality penetrating impregnator sealers. These protectors soak into the stone and form an invisible barrier by bonding to the natural stone minerals. They do not leave a topical film like wax does, and should last at least 2-3 years.
The type of sealer we use will depend on the material to be sealed. Ceramic tile with sanded grout needs a less expensive sealer than a porous stone like honed limestone. Basically porous stones need more sealer than a harder surface like granite. However, a honed marble will need more sealer than a polished marble because the pores are exposed.
Our sealing process consists of:
- Cleaning the floor and grout
- Drying the floor
- Applying the sealer
- Removing the excess sealer after the proper time
- Buffing the floor to remove any residue.
Color Enhancing - The use of penetrating sealers / impregnators formulated to enhance or enrich the color of your stone.
Stain Removal -
Stripping – To remove coatings that block stone's ability to breathe which causes spalling (when the stones crack, pop and shale). Some examples of common coatings are, crystallization, janitorial waxes, polyurethane, etc.
Grout Cleaning and Sealing - Dirt loves to hide in grout. Brushes cannot penetrate into the micro pores to get all of the contaminants out. We use a very effective extraction method to clean your grout to like new and then we seal it to facilitate easier maintenance for the long haul.
SALTILLO RESTORATION
Saltillo (Mexican Pavers) restoration/refinishing is a very specialized process that is much different than any ceramic tile process. These tiles can be damaged very easy if the wrong cleaning or sealing process is used. We are specialists in cleaning, sealing and repairs of saltillo. In addition, we can also change the colors of saltillo with stains, or even have a faux finish appearance! |
